Cyryl Leśniewski i Dag-Ove Roste
Dag-Ove is an experienced musher with nearly 20 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous races, including Gausdal Maraton, Femundløpet, and Mush Synnfjell, achieving many victories. He has previously secured several fourth-place finishes at the Norwegian and World Championships, as well as in Femundløpet. Dag-Ove is a warm, positive, and empathetic person with a deep love for dogs, always doing everything he can to ensure their well-being.
He is the founder of the Finnemarka Trekkhundklubb sports club, where the collaboration with Cyryl began. Dag-Ove is also a licensed trainer affiliated with the Norwegian Mushers Association.
Cyryl is one of the two founders of Wilderness Woofers.
Through Wilderness Woofers, Cyryl and Dag-Ove offer personalized dog sledding experiences with their own dogs in Sylling and Hurdal. For many years, Cyryl worked in the tourism industry as both an event coordinator and a guide. He gained extensive experience in Tromsø, where he organized dog sledding expeditions. During his time in tourism, he visited around 50 countries, often traveling as a backpacker.
From a young age, Cyryl has been passionate about extreme and outdoor sports. After years of adventures in disciplines such as freeride skiing, hiking, and whitewater kayaking, he chose the most thrilling path of all – training sled dogs and competing in sled dog races. Since 2018, Cyryl has been fully dedicated to dog training and is also a sled dog instructor affiliated with the Norwegian Mushers Association.
