Jakub Krzemiński

My name is Jakub Krzemiński, I’m 30 years old and originally from Gdańsk, Poland.

I’m a former triathlete, and I first started running casually with my Weimaraner named Pablo. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something more serious. Today, together with my wife Magdalena, we share our lives with two Eurodogs, one Weimaraner, and one Husky.

I’m a multiple-time medalist in the Polish Canicross Cup, winner of the latest Hard Dog Race Poland, current Polish Canicross Champion, Lithuanian Canicross Champion, 2nd Runner-Up at the Latvian SP2 Championship (sled with two dogs), Latvian Snow Relay Champion, and recently became the 2nd Runner-Up in the IFSS European Canicross Championships (Men’s Elite category).

My personal best for a 5 km canicross run is 12 minutes 58 seconds, with an average pace of 2:36 min/km – that’s 23.1 km/h.

I’ve been involved in sports since childhood, and although I’ve only been training canicross for a year and a half, I’m seeing continuous, significant progress.

Outside of canicross, I work as a running coach and swimming instructor. I spend my free time with my wife and our wild but beloved pack – it was actually through dog sports that I met my amazing wife Magda, who now competes in bikejoring.

I love running fast – and if I can combine that with my love for dogs and the thrill of competition, that’s the perfect recipe for me to lose myself completely in sled dog sports.

We train together as a couple with our still-growing pack: Zenek, Pablo, Sheldon, and Spike 🙂
