Animals have been present in my life since childhood, I have always had great affection for them. To this day, I often understand them better than other people. One of my first dogs in adulthood was an American bulldog called Boss, with whom I took part in defense training. My love for the American pit bull terrier breed appeared with Demon. He was the perfect dog for me. Having him, I became interested in dog sports. After he left, I started going to TTB competitions, initially just as a spectator.
After a few years, I bought a pit bull from a Hungarian breeding farm – Joker, and a year later Hola Lola joined us. At that time, we were already actively participating in competitions in Poland and abroad. Joker turned out to be a universal dog, often achieving podium places or winning in wall climbing, tug of war and weight pulling. Lola, on the other hand, showed a predisposition for competitions such as treadmill, weight drag pull, lure coursing and wall climbing. She also wins high places at exhibitions, and recently received the title of ADBA (American Dog Breeders Association) champion.
At the end of 2021, a third dog joined us – Big Boy, son of Joker. You could say that I fell in love with him the moment I saw him for the first time. Something about him charmed me right away.
He was prepared to participate in weight pulling competitions since he was a puppy, of course the training was adapted to his age. He started them with his breeder. You should be aware that participating in this competition requires consistent work with the dog – anyone who would like to try it must be aware of this.
When Big Boy was 9 months old, he took part in the first ADBA competition in Belgium, winning second place twice in his weight category. Later he started in Poland, taking first place. He performed best during the three-day competition in Germany, winning all starts and winning cups for the highest weight pulled. I knew from the very beginning that he had excellent predispositions, but I would never have expected that we would be able to achieve so much at such a young age. The most important thing, however, is that thanks to joint training, the bond that has formed between us is even stronger.
