A veterinary preparation supporting the proper functioning of muscles. HMB supplementation is recommended in cases of convalescence or long-term immobilization of limbs (fractures, surgeries), muscle weakness accompanying joint degeneration and the dog’s reluctance to move, myopathy and other diseases associated with damage to skeletal muscles. The preparation is also recommended for sports dogs to develop musculature, muscle strength and improve training results.
The advanced formula of the preparation is based on the highest quality active ingredients, the effects of which have been scientifically confirmed:
Beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) – plays an important role in protein synthesis in the body, it is also credited with anabolic and anti-catabolic effects, an effect on the skeletal system and immunity. HMB limits the proteolysis (reduction) of muscle proteins, which is the effect of physical exercise [33, 6]. Supplementation of this compound reduces the activity of catabolic enzymes, mainly ubiquitin, which destroys proteins [1]. HMB limits post-exercise damage to skeletal muscles, while accelerating the regeneration of the body [4,6]. Studies conducted on horses have also confirmed that HMB increases muscle strength and improves performance during exercise [3,4]. Using the example of sled dogs running a distance of 1100 km, it was shown that animals receiving a supplement with HMB were faster, stronger and more durable than the control group not receiving the preparation [11]. HMB administration to dogs running 500m also brought positive results – the animals were faster and less tired after finishing the run [11]. Studies conducted on humans and animals have also repeatedly confirmed the positive effect of HMB on the increase of lean muscle mass [1,6,11,12].
The anabolic and anti-catabolic effects of this substance can be very helpful in dogs with muscle diseases and damage. In such cases, HMB has a limiting effect on the progression of muscle atrophy. Similarly, in the case of weakening of the muscle corset, resulting from the dog’s reluctance to move, caused by degenerative pain.
HMB supplementation also promotes the increase in bone mass, bone elasticity and strength in growing animals [12,13], which may reduce the risk of osteoporosis in old age [7].
The safety of HMB use has also been confirmed by research. The experiments conducted prove that HMB calcium is a completely safe substance, causing no side effects, even in cases of taking doses significantly exceeding the recommended ones. Excess HMB is always excreted in the urine, without burdening the digestive system. It can be safely administered orally to animals, regardless of age and physiological condition [3,13].

What is better for my dog – HMB or Muscle Booster?
HMB is very effective in inhibiting muscle atrophy, so it will be an excellent choice for dogs with lower activity levels due to advanced age, degenerative changes, muscle diseases or long-term immobilization (e.g. after orthopedic surgery). Due to its support for burning subcutaneous fat and increased regenerative capacity, it can also be used in sports dogs, especially in the first phase of training, at the beginning of the season.
For dogs with high activity, at the peak of the training season, we recommend choosing Muscle Booster. This product provides high-quality amino acids, fat and easily digestible carbohydrates, which allows for effective body building and excellent condition of working dogs.
Does this product cause muscle growth?
This product does not cause significant muscle mass growth, but it perfectly supports post-workout muscle regeneration. Due to the support for burning subcutaneous fat, muscle definition also improves significantly.
Should I take breaks from use?
This product should be used in cycles of 8-12 weeks. When administered for more than 12 weeks, a decrease in effectiveness may be noticeable. Then it is worth taking a 4-6 week break and only then returning to administering the product.

Marcelina –
Dobry produkt, łatwiej podać tabletki niż proszek. Widać efekty po 2 miesięcznej kuracji ale pies chodzi też na bieżnię wodną. Generalnie polecam.
