Powdered Ascophyllum nodosum algae are a natural source of iodine (836mcg/g) and many other nutrients. They are rich in vitamin C, A, D, E, K and B vitamins, macro- and microelements, including calcium, magnesium, sodium, iodine, potassium, copper, zinc and selenium. They also have a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, folic acid and almost all essential exogenous amino acids. Regular supplementation with Ascophyllum nodosum improves the condition of the skin and coat and strengthens its pigmentation. It inhibits the deposition of tartar and eliminates unpleasant odour from the animal’s mouth.
Indications
The use of the product is recommended in case of diagnosed iodine deficiency, skin and fur problems, or problems with excessive tartar build-up.

Are seaweeds a mandatory supplement in the BARF diet?
Seaweed is considered a mandatory supplement in the BARF diet, but in our latitude there is no iodine supply.
Seaweed or spirulina?
The seaweed Ascophyllu nodosum is supplemented mainly as a source of iodine. Spirulina is distinguished by its high content of protein, vitamins and minerals in a chelated, therefore highly bioavailable form.
